Fighting in terrorists stronghold.
France's military on Sunday released video showing soldiers fighting in the mountains of northern Mali on March 2 as part of the operation Panther to clear Islamist militants out of their remaining strongholds.
The video that was filmed on April 28, 2012 by Romeo Langlois, a French reporter for France 24, during a firefight between FARC and Colombian troops carrying out an anti-drug raid in Caqueta, a rebel-stronghold in the south. After being surrounded and just before being captured, the French journalist (shot in the arm) was able to hide the memory card of the camera. Four soldiers and a police official were killed during the firefight. Another six officials were injured, with few others captured.
