Description
Scenes from inside the M109A6 Paladin howitzer during live-fire operation. The Paladin has 4 crew members: Commander, Driver, Gunner and Loader. It can travel at a maximum speed of 40mph, and can be fired in less than 60 seconds after it comes to a stop. The Paladin self-propelled howitzer has a firing range of 24 km using unassisted rounds or 30 km using assisted rounds. But some Paladins have been upgraded to fire the Excalibur GPS/extended-range projectile, which has a range of 40 km with an accuracy of 10 m. The Excalibur round was first deployed to Afghanistan in 2008.

Nice vid coltsfan2007 there supposed to be replacing that self-propelled howitzer (Paladin) soon and it's crazy that other countries still have artillery pieces that are better than ours that were made by a genius weapon designer Gerald Bull who took existing US artillery pieces and bored them out and made a few other changes that turned a US howitzer that had a max range of around 19 miles into a howitzer with a max range of 30 to 40 miles. After he started building a super gun for Saddam Hussein that could reach Israel and possibly launch shells into orbit he was assassinated by probably either Israel or the US.
