155mm rounds are filled with around 24 lb of TNT and weigh approximately 100 pounds each (M795). Rounds are now available with a 2 axis Course Correcting Fuse allowing more precise fire. Excalibur rounds with GPS capability fired from this weapon have a circular error probable of about five meters. The effective maximum range depends on projectile but is anywhere from 15 to 25 miles

U.S. and Afghan Army soldiers are caught in a sniper ambush after conducting a search on villages to locate enemy weapons, and IED factories. The U.S. mission is to disrupt Taliban activities in the area and to mentor Afghan soldiers so that they'll be able to take over operations by 2014.
