Hi all-
Seems a few of you guys are interested in RC planes, so I thought it would be a good idea for me to post some of my builds and fill you in on my next projects. Most of my projects are "scratch'' built and designed by me.
Six years ago I got my first RC plane, a aerobird challenger.8706
After learning how to fly on my own and after many crashes I got the bug.I had to rebuild the thing several times and really enjoyed tinkering with it and before long I was modifying it.This put me on a path of research and learning how to build aircraft.

First real project-Mig-21 fishbed.
This plane I had to have at the time there were no kits available, so I set out to build one myself. In fact most my planes are unique are not in kit form.8711

wow, that is absolutly Amazing, i am absolutly Jelous.

One day when i have enough money to fund this hobby i'll do so, and just maybe one day if i have enough pay you to build me one!..... they are absolutly stunning m8, you sure as hell have a talent to detail and handy work.

is there any chance you could make some videos of you're flying? Attach a mini camera to you're planes and fly around recording it?

I do not own a plane as of yet, firstly they cost alot, secondly i cannot fly it where i live im right under the flight path of Airplanes going into Heathrow. :( Although i love a challenge of flying my helicopter, you gotta love the wind!

It can be an exspensive hobby but if you just get started with a cheap RTF (ready to fly) plane, you can get started for under $150 bucks.Over time you buy a battery here a motor there, you begin to aquire more and more.JUST GET STARTED!

The more research I do on the Predator and the Reaper, the more I'm finding out they just don't translate well to smaller scale.I intend my next big build to be an aerial photography platforme. The RC ed millitary drones have a inherent tip stall and higher overall stall speed. I'm looking for altitude, distance, stabillity at stall speeds and longer flights. To do this I think I need to get the slide rule out and begin to draft something like a twin-boom design.
I'm still on the fence about this.

Wow nice Apache there! I have had a couple electric copters but you know unless you go big I.E. expensive you can't do much with them.I'm spending plenty of cash on planes as it is. If I started buying the copters I really want, my wife would shoot me.

Yes it is I love that plane.I rigged mine to drop it's bombs! She is a hanger queen now to many hard landings but I flew the hell out of that thing!E-Flite makes sweet airplanes. You can get yours here for $80 bucks. P-47D Thunderbolt 400 ARF by E-flite : http://www.horizonhobby.com/Products/Default.aspx?ProdID=EFL6000
It's no trainer but if you have flown any low wing aircraft you will love this plane.

My heli is a .50 size nitro, if I was going to buy another I would get a 600 size electric which is the same size as a .50 or go .50 size gasoline.

.60-.90 get real expensive, .50 is a good compromise.....the thing with heli's is the bigger the model the easier they are to fly. Haven't taken my heli out lately, need to get new fuel and @ $45/gallon I'm not really in a hurry to buy any lol

I think it looks kick ass..Sounds very quiet, and from that wing span I don't think it would take much power to keep it aloft.
