A Dutchman has been arrested in Peru in connection with the murder of a business student.

Joran van der Sloot, 22, wore a bullet-proof vest and handcuffs as he was brought into the police headquarters in Lima.
The arrest comes exactly five years after an American student vanished after meeting him on a night out.
The body of 21-year-old Stephany Flores Ramirez was discovered in a hotel bedroom in the Peruvian capital on Wednesday.

She had been beaten and had suffered a broken neck.
Police released CCTV footage apparently showing Van der Sloot and his alleged victim entering the room, with him leaving alone some time later.
Officers detained him in Chile and handed him over to Peruvian authorities (http://indepth.news.sky.com/InDepth/topic/Peru) after he made a 1300km taxi journey across the border.
Chief investigating officer General Cesar Guardia described the killing as "horrendous" and urged the public to be patient as his officers continue their inquiries.

Van der Sloot had been arrested twice on the Dutch Caribbean island of Aruba (http://indepth.news.sky.com/InDepth/topic/Aruba) after American student Natalee Holloway vanished in May 2005.
She had been celebrating her graduation.
Van der Sloot told police he had left her on a beach, drunk.
No charges were ever brought against him. Natalee's body has never been found.
He also faces a charge of extortion in the US after allegedly demanding £173,000 from the Holloway family in return for information about the location of Natalee's remains.
