Warned the French Council for the Islamic religion of the Friday the Government of France should not expect him to impose a ban intended to wear the niqab, which experts argue that it is unconstitutional and police are expecting to be unenforceable.

Said Council President Mohammed Moussaoui that the Council opposed the wearing of burqas and will try to convince the small minority of veiled women as a non-binding religious and misplaced in France.

But he said that Muslim leaders can not act as agents of the State during the period "mediation" of a duration of six months and were to be veiled objection and inform them of the law, but without imposing a fine on them.

The bill to be passed this autumn wear the veil in public places, and will have to veiled women after the end of the mediation pay a fine of 150 euros (182.8 dollars), or the taking of "Lessons in Citizenship", while no person forced them to wear the veil to a fine of 15 thousand euros.

Difficult application
He said Moussaoui told reporters: "It would be difficult to apply .. the French Council for the Islamic religion, said he was ready to work for this, but not as a commissioner of the State .. It is the duty of society to assume their responsibilities for mediation."

The French Justice Minister Michele Alliot-Marie said it would depend on the police and the French Council of Muslim religion, and local civic associations to convince veiled veils that violates French values.

Police unions have warned that the French objections veiled in the street could lead to chaotic scenes and protests.

He said Yannick danio from the police union newspaper Le Monde "There will be a lot of rejection, and it will turn into an insult and anger .. will be detained and their families will accumulate outside the police station."

Other critics say the ban that radical Muslims could stir such confrontations to extend their influence.

The French Council of State - a major legal advisory body - has twice warned that the ban is likely to violate the French Constitution and the European Convention on Human Rights, but President Nicolas Sarkozy has decided to move forward.

Moussaoui said that "some politicians consider the veil a provocation

It seems to me that in the western countries immigrants rights trump citizens rights. If they want to keep Islamic law and their traditions let them stay in their own countries. All of our forefathers you were immigrants had to assimilate into the culture they moved to , learning new traditions and keeping the old ones inside the house. They did not march and protest for their old ways of life, that's why they migrated in the first place for a better life. Bob

It is the stuff of horror movies, living in your own country being dictated to
by foreigners and a foreign religion. Well scary in a serious way.
