FORT BRAGG, N.C. — More than 120 new Green Berets will graduate in North Carolina and join the Special Forces ranks.

The new Green Berets graduate Thursday from the 252nd class of the Special Forces Qualification Course and join the five active duty and two National Guard Special Forces groups. The students have spent the past year learning unconventional warfare, a new language and building cultural expertise. Special Forces teams perform raids and long-range reconnaissance in search of terror suspects. They also work closely with local leaders and foreign armies to undermine insurgency.

The commanding general of the John F. Kennedy Special Warfare Center and School, Maj. Gen. Thomas R. Csrnko, will be the guest speaker at the graduation at the Crown Coliseum in Fayetteville.
