A Few More Things About Obama’s New Chief of Staff (http://www.allamericanblogger.com/4566/a-few-more-things-about-obamas-new-chief-of-staff/)

By Duane Lester (http://www.allamericanblogger.com/author/bodhi1/) • Nov 7th, 2008

Rahm Emanuel has accepted the position of Chief of Staff for Barry. Here are a few more tid bits about “Rahmbo.” He was a senior adviser for the Clinton Administration through the 1990s. Following that, Bill gave him a nice cushy job with…Freddie Mac (http://www.businessandmedia.org/articles/2008/20081106133228.aspx):
“Clinton’s going-away gift to Emanuel was a seat on the quasi-governmental Freddie Mac board, which paid him $231,655 in director’s fees in 2001 and $31,060 in 2000,” Lynn Sweet wrote for the Chicago Sun-Times on Jan. 3, 2002.
During Emanuel’s time with Freddie Mac:

Freddie Mac was accused of illegally using corporate resources between 2000 and 2003 for 85 fundraisers that collected about $1.7 million for federal candidates. Much of the fundraising benefited members of the House Financial Services Committee, a panel whose decisions can affect Freddie Mac.
The fundraisers were organized by then-Freddie Mac lobbyists Robert Mitchell Delk and Clark Camper, who described them to the corporation’s board of directors as “political risk management,” the FEC said.
That’s some good change there. Just the type of thing Obama voters were looking for, I imagine. And here’s a look at the idea of “bipartisanship” in the Obama administration (http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/newstopics/profiles/3392848/Profile-Rahm-Emanuel-Barack-Obamas-new-enforcer.html):
At a dinner to celebrate President Clinton’s first election victory, Mr Emanuel began to name those who he believed had earned his enmity. As he listed the names of those he saw as traitors, he grabbed a steak knife, stood up and began plunging the knife into the table and shouting “Dead! Dead! Dead!” after each name.
“When he was done, the table looked like a lunar landscape,” one witness recalled. “It was like something out of The Godfather. But that’s Rahm for you.”

That’s just Rahm, huh? Here’s how Paul Begala described his style:
“He’s got this big old pair of brass balls, and you can just hear ‘em clanking when he walks down the halls of Congress. The Democratic Party is full of Rhodes scholars – Rahm is a road warrior.”
Begala also called Emanuel’s style as a “cross between a hemorrhoid and a toothache (http://money.cnn.com/magazines/fortune/fortune_archive/2006/10/02/8387515/index.htm).”
Here’s what he is talking about. When Tony Blair visited the White House in 1998 during the Monica Lewinsky brouhaha, Emanuel told Blair, “This is important. Don’t **** it up.”
I’m sure this is going to be a centrist administration, full of bipartisanship and full of good will towards Republicans and conservatives. After all, Emanuel once explained to his staff his view of bipartisanship (http://marcambinder.theatlantic.com/archives/2008/11/early_republican_reaction_to_r.php):
“‘I’ll tell you this,’ Emanuel shouted out to his staff. ‘The Republicans may have the 72-hour program. But they have not seen the 22-month program! … Since my kids are gone, I can say it: They can go —- themselves!’”
I get the feeling that unity is just one inauguration away.

This country is so screwed up.

"We the people" doesn't even have a meaning anymore. It's more like "us and you"

OMG I'll never say "It can't get any worse" again. The hits just keep on coming and we're just in the very beginning stage. :(

Make sure your knuckles are taped up.

Indeed they are. :)

I keep telling myself that everything will be ok - when everything within me screams I know it will not be. The more I learn about the deception our election day - I'm deeper into the shame of what our nation is doing to our children.

I'm trying to put on the pretty, "lets all get along" face, but then I'm slammed with more truthful and provable events and facts of what truly has taken place...

I cannot let this go. To do so would be to approve of the kicking our troops in their faces with both boots.

I don't see the fun, easy going laid back me anymore. I don't think I'll see myself that way again until the truth is out and people pull their freakin heads out of their asses and see what has happened here. I don't have the pleasure of just thinking about myself anymore. There are many children who will suffer the consequences of this "choice."

I'm not gonna be commenting much more for now. I'm out of patience for people who prefer ignorance instead of truths.

I usually don't have much trust in what people post online when they will not use their name. So therefore I'm giving my full name here.

"More reputable sources?" Do you realize how condescending that statement was?

Travis you maybe content in not looking any farther than this...that's up to you, but I can no longer look the other way. I cannot look the other way and pretend this is a game. I'm not sure of your age, but I will share with you when I was younger I tried to live in the "lets all get along" mindset. The problem with that is it takes two or more. I could not force that upon another anymore than you can. You can live there if you want to, but that is your choice. I cannot. I did for years and it doesn't change the facts of what is truly happening or has been happening since the early 60's. - which I was just a very young kid then. I repeated that same line of crap to myself for years. I can't deny the truth anymore.

Ever since the Vietnam War and I watched as a very young kid, my friends and family come back home (the one's that made it back home alive) I spouted the same crap. No I see how arrogant I was. And it's only getting worse, more extreme. I will no longer be quiet and pretend everythings a piece of cherry pie. We owe our troops the honest respect they deserve and we owe ourselves to own up to the truths of our times.

This is it, the time is now...be truthful or throw our troops under the bus...which I now adays an wiser and I will never do that again.

No it just seemed to me that the news source was a blog with obvious bias towards anything Obama. I just see it already, every single person Obama names will be some kind of evil henchmen brought to do dark deeds on the world. If you saw Obama's press release today you would have clearly seen that he's not going to deal with Iran's bullshit, he has clearly stated a Nuclear Iran is a negative one.

I haven't heard Obama mention anything negative about our troops, nor have I see any indication that he's going to throw our troops under the bus. How am I to make an opinion on the man as president when he hasn't even stepped into office yet? The man has run by far the most successful and well run campaign arguably in history. He's forming his cabinet and under an unprecendented rate, it has been what 3 freaking days?

Sorry but I have much respect for the intelligent people that support Obama, that includes Colin Powell and even Warren Buffet. The man is not hte devil, i'm sorry you cannot get me to admit it.

Here's the same argument here

http://blog.foreignpolicy.com/node/10236

All this stuff proves is that the man is a freaking nutcase, it doesn't have anything to do with whether he's intelligent and capable enough to get the job done. Obama obviously chose him because "HE CAN GET THE JOB DONE" It doesn't matter how pretty your track record looks if you can't get jack done.

Your opinion is as valuable as mine humble.

It was a rather interesting read, but I think we should look to more reputable sources before we make our decisions and form our opinions :)

Also I want you to know I don't take my sources lightly. I verify and verify again just to be 100% sure. Also Travis you might also want to check out some true United States History. Some different than what you were taught in schools.

How can I say this? Because I was fed a bunch of crap too. It sucks to hear that and to realize that, but when I realized that, and accepted that, then I was true to myself and anyone I was around. Up to that point I also was fully indoctrinated into the "Cultural bullshit" just like many of my day and definitely your day.

You wanna learn the true history of our country...The true history - a great resource is Wall Builders. (http://wallbuilders.com) I only wish I had known of it years earlier. It would have saved me many hours, days, months, years of hidden research. By the time I found it, I was already up on the true history but I found it a great tool for my family and friends in school under the indoctrination which I was tutored in.

Also was I pissed when I started figuring out I was a prodigy of indoctrination? I can't even tell you how pissed I was. But I can tell you that I'll never allow any of my family members to be used in such a manner.

Also since then I've had many conversations with teachers and of course children in my family, most teachers are EXTREMELY OFFENDED at first, and then when they do their own research they are very thankful and vow to teach the truths of our country.

I'm not telling you to believe anything I tell you. I'm asking you to do your own research and find our for yourself.

Did you know that teachers are told they do not have to know the history of our country to be teachers? They are told to not worry about knowing all of it, because it's in the text books. They are told to tell the kids what's in the text books and to give the test. Does that piss you off? It should!
Do you have kids? If not, do you plan on having kids? Do you want your kids educated that way?

I'm still trying to decide whether to give you all my website addresses or not. I think I'll leave that for another times. But again~ don't believe anything I say because I said so....check it out for yourselves.

Always ask the question...What do this persons words have to gain by me believing them. Also in our world you always need to ask the question or rather "follow the money" and that will lead you to most answers to any questions you have or that any one asks of you. Where does the money trail lead you?

I did not mean to insult you on your sources and i've always liked to stick to historical documents, proven written or video accounts of situations. I don't think my choice to believe in someone judging by the way they speak, write, act is pure ignorance. There's not enough background on the president elect to think he's going to harm our country. Just curious do you believe he wasn't born in the U.S.? Would the F.B.I be fucking retarded enough to let Barrack Obama become president if he wasn't a U.S. citizen, or was Anti-american, or contributed to supremely illegal events? They run background checks on these people, countless times over and over and over.
