Six-year-old boy saved by the skin of his ears
A six-year-old boy in China has been miraculously saved from an eight-storey plunge by the skin of his ears.
Stunned passers-by were alerted to Ming Ming, dangling by his head above the bustling street, when they heard child’s horrified screams for help, The Sun reported.
Shocked neighbours in Yichang, Hubei Province, could only watch as emergency services managed to use a hydraulic pressure expander to force the bars apart and pull Ming Ming back into the apartment.
The child had become wedged between the window bars of his family’s apartment, after reportedly slipping while searching for his grandfather.
It is reported the boy’s grandfather had left him asleep in the apartment while he ran an errand outside.
Fire service spokesman Wang Shen was shocked by the incident reportedly saying, "he could have fallen to the ground or have been suffocated at any minute."
