Editorial - Desperate measures to stifle Israel protests (http://www.muslimnews.co.uk/paper/index.php?article=4563)
Issue 251 - March 26, 2010
The Government remains reluctant to bring Israel to account for its persistent defiance of international and humanitarian laws despite last year’s slaughter of over 1,400 Palestinians in Gaza. Instead of imposing punitive sanctions and setting up war crime trials under the auspices of the UN, scores of Muslims demonstrators in London have been sent to court for committing public order offences while protesting against the latest in a long line of Israeli atrocities.

Israel’s latest assassination hit the headlines last month. But the most concern was only over the use of fake British and European passports by Mossad agents. Although the Israeli Ambassador was summoned to the Foreign Office, Serious and Organised Crime Agency (SOCA) officers were sent to Dubai, where Hamas official Mahmoud al-Mabhouh was killed and interviews were held with the dual Israeli/British passport holders.

It is almost, as onesided, as some of the GOP reporting. Having to listen, to the rhetoric of the political parties, over here makes a person ill. I have noticed, that Obama has tried repeatedly, to get the GOP, to shut up and do the work that needs to be done. But, the party of NO, won't do it. In my opinion, BOTH parties, are sadly lacking in the truth. It all depends, on which channel, you get your news and none of them tell the whole truth.

My aim is to try to give all those in AC a varied view from all sides of the spectrum also the way, "they", perceive us in the blue eyed west.
I believe you are better armed if you know a lot about your enemies mind set.
My hope is to encourage debate and then, hopefully, we will understand how close we are.
Yet so far apart, I makes little sense to continue the carnage, why?

Well I can at least try.
