SEVEN schoolkids are rushed to hospital after minibus is involved in a fatal crash in Kirkcaldy (http://www.thescottishsun.co.uk/scotsol/homepage/news/2909956/Bus-smash-pupils-rushed-to-hospital.html)

SEVEN schoolkids were rushed to hospital yesterday after a minibus they were travelling on was involved in a fatal smash.

The youngsters - second year pupils from Kirkcaldy's Kirkland High School - were on their way back from a trip when the horror happened near the town centre.
The minibus collided with a Jaguar and a Renault Clio.
A man, believed to be in his 50s, died.
Seven children were taken to the town's Victoria Hospital where they were treated for from minor cuts and bruises before being allowed home. The accident happened on the busy Victoria Road around 3pm.
A woman in the Renault was taken to hospital.
The mini bus was left a mangled wreck.
The Jaguar, which stopped next to the bus, was covered over by police.
The Renault Clio was several metres away up the street.
Last night police said the victim would not be named until relatives had been told of the tragedy.
Police closed the road for six hours to allow an accident investigation to be carried out.

"Thankfully none of them was seriously injured although they were all taken to hospital to be checked out and have all now been discharged.
"There were some minor injuries, including cuts and bruises, and obviously some were in shock.
"One pupil was transferred to Queen Margaret Hospital with injuries to the mouth and face.
"All parents were notified very quickly.
"We will be offering counselling to them when they return to school."

ianstone thank you for posting news threads here, the way you post them is very good also.

R.I.P to the guy, the road next to me is the worse, theres guranteed 4 crashes here every year :( , there looks to be o roundabout where the incident occured, looks like it was human error and judgement done by the trafficlights / crossing.

for a mini bus to be a mangled wreck that would require some speed in the crash, human error and speed was the cause of the crash and fatality.
