FUSILIER Thomas James stands in solemn tribute to a fallen comrade yesterday - just months after a Taliban bomb left him in a wheelchair.
Tom, 20, lost an arm, an eye, nearly all the fingers on his left hand and suffered horrific burns in the blast last August.

victim Guy Mellor
He famously defied his injuries weeks later when he attended in a wheelchair the funeral of another comrade.
But at the funeral of Sapper Guy Mellor, 20, in Coventry, yesterday he only had a crutch for support.
The congregation of hundreds of mourners was led by Guy's mum Linda Holland, step dad Bill and sisters Lana, 14, and Kia, eight.
Bomb disposal expert Guy, of 36 Engineer Regiment, died in an explosion in Afghanistan last month.
Grieving Linda said at the time: "He'll always be our hero."
Guy's Commanding Officer Lieutenant Colonel Simon Hulme described him as "simply outstanding".

The first photo says it all for me.
It is one of those, You had to be there" to understand. I have attended friends funerals, and I count my self lucky i have no physical scares to show. I was thankful It was not me, yet at the same time I wish it had been me, because they were outstanding people.
I just wanted to share it with you.
They say; a picture is worth a thousand words.
Well here is a thousand words of note !
