I'm sorry but this is one of the coolest things i've seen in a while. It's the first head mounted heads up display i've seen, and it helps to show how advanced the new F-35 really is.

- Binocular Wide Field-of-View
- Integrated day/night capability with sensor fusion
- Highly accurate head tracking hardware and software
- Digital image source for helmet vision displayed symbology
- Custom helmet shell, liner and suspension system for lightest weight, optimal C.G. and maximum pilot - comfort.

This picture proves it's actually in use now, from the data i've found its been in use since april.

Sorry to bring up an old thread, but if EVER there was an argument FOR reverse engineering from alien technology, I 'd say this one makes the best case....

Last pic in the first post is a " standard" HMCS/ JHMCS for nowadays fighters . It is actually pretty light.
