Hehe, I would have walked it off but I broke both of my knees and blew up my femurs (I'm actually 2 inches shorter now).

I freaked out the EMT in ambulance, tho, he thought I was out of it and he said I sat up and grabbed him, even tho I was bleeding out and had a tracheotomy going. I can't recall a thing from the accident and they kept me heavily sedated for 10 days afterwards. Friends and family said my head swelled to the size of a basketball (no pictures, tho, dammit).

I do remember having some crazy thoughts in my head, I knew I was damaged and at one point thought I was in some sorta ninja training. GOOD DRUGS no doubt!! (morphine is awesome).

Extremes, I'll say!!!!!! I don't know if this is still going on or not, but your son's chances of getting into the Air Force is zero, because they're going through 'force reduction'. He'd have to get a 93 or better on the ASVAB, which is extremely difficult even for the brainiacs that enlist. I tried enlisting last year. Finally enlisted February 2010, but I was discharged a week after because of the force reduction. Also, not to bad mouth Air Force vets on AC (I wouldn't do that to you PzychoSixx ;) ) but the Air Force is very snobby and they have the mosty bull shit of any branch (I scored a 49 on the ASVAB and the dick heads made me take it again, because they wanted me to get an effing 50 :@).

Your Son is better off going over to his second choice or the Army. I'd recommend those two branches to anyone thinking about enlisting, but that's just me.

Thanks Sixx :) Yeah, it was a really shitty 7 months for me trying to get in AF, just so it would take a week to get my ass right the hell out :( About airman getting killed over seas, I posted a thread while back called "biggest misconception" it's got some good stories of airman in combat, i'm not just takin' PJs and CCTs, but law enforcement, logistics, EODs that sort of thing, it's right up your alley.

My family will take pics of me for sure during my swearing in, and my graduation. The Army also has people take pics of recruits during training events and they sell a book with them all. I could pick one up on graduation day and see if my pretty mutt face is in any of them, scan them, and upload them :D
