Ive noticed over the past months that President Obama has caused a little bit of a stir by bowing to foreign dignitaries.

His bow to the King of Saudi Arabia has been put down to Obama dropping his Blackberry.

But Ive just seen a photo of him giving a full bow to the Emperor of Japan.

Now I was always lead to believe that this is a no-no for the Prez to do this. I cant find the protocol that states it.

Anybody any thoughts on this?

It's implied by his office. He's a Head of State. The Emperor is a Head of State. They are peers. One does not show deference to a peer, and certainly not in the obsequious manner in which Zero rolled over.
