Bomb attack on Italian barracks

A Libyan man detonated a bomb as he tried to enter an army barracks in Milan, northern Italy, police said.

He injured himself and a guard at the entrance who tried to stop him getting closer to buildings, they added.

The man shouted in Arabic before the bomb exploded in a bag he was carrying, police said.

The motive for the attack was unclear. The man, 35, was legally resident in Italy and police were searching his apartment for clues, they said.

The soldier who blocked the man's path was lightly hurt by glass shards.

It was reported the attacker may have lost a hand in the explosion, but his injuries were not considered life-threatening.

Television channel Sky TG-24 described the bomb as "rudimentary and fairly weak".

As a side, this bomber blew off his hand. Wouldnt it be good if the could sew it back on, let it heal while he is in prison. Then when its all healed, scotch tape a grenade to his other wrist, ask, "Remember this" (but in italian) pull the pin and leave. Could become an annual event.

Yet the motive of the bomber remains unclear...

I love these people. It's like they have some desperate need to run from the truth as fast as they can. Like vampires and crosses.

Here's a hint, mi amores, there's a war going on. A holy war. It doesn't matter if you're an atheist progressive transgender who's green conscious and helps out at the local crisis shelter/methadone clinic, and who really doesn't want to fight a war because violence is icky and uncivilized. In fact, all of these things that you are and all of these things that you believe are precisely the reason why they despise you and want to kill and/or enslave you.

Funny thing about wars. They don't require that both sides actually fight. One side is more than happy to do all the fighting so long as the other side does all the dying.
