Crews of the Long-range aviation (LRA) have successfully carried out the tasks under the plan of air patrol

Two turboprop strategic bombers Тu-95 МS, which were lifted from east area of Russia, successfully carried the tasks under the plan of air patrol.

The route of flight passed through neutral waters of Arctic ocean in region of water area of Pacific ocean. Тu-95 МS's crews perfected skills of conducting flights above без ориентир ной areas without identification points.

Along a route of flight the LRA crews were accompanied by two planes F-15 of the Air Force of the USA.

Duration of flight of Tu-95 MS planes made more than 10 hours. During flight crews fulfilled refuelling in air from Il-78 tankers that is one of the most complicated elements of flight.

Interesting. Russia flexing her muscles again. I remember this started up again(since the Cold War), last year. Now they've done this before, and I know that US fighters have intercepted them, and escorted them back, before.

So what is the significance of this? I'm not saying that this is a bad post or anything Bob. I'm just curious.

none , just found this interesting as it was on Russia's defense forces website and they used accompanied instead of intercepted
