after reading about the ''picket'' ships and not wanting to hijack that post ,,

1.didn't we also lose 2/3rds of the bombers and crews in europe

2.something like 95% of german submariners never came back

3.russia lost 1/2 the population of leningrad fighting the germans,due to starvation and the sub-zero temps


those loses were alot less then the loses in ww1,or the civil war were at ''gettysburg'' we [the north and south] lost about 50,000 troops in 4 days,,

all war deaths are sad but at least they seem to get less as we progress in this world,and the reasons we go to war never seem to change

You are correct wars really suck especially for the innocent civilians caught in the middle just living in their houses. The only good thing I can see is the weapons have gotten so much more powerful and accurate large scale war(millions involved) are hopefully a thing of the past. But as you said in another post think out of the box and if I do that then there will be more large scale wars.
