I'll go through Yosemite, if it isn't snowed in, Death Valley, Vegas, Grand Canyon and the Parks of South Utah and Salt Lake City. This may take the rest of May.

Then it's off the southern way to Pikes Peak, the USAF Academy, The Shatto Milk Company near Kansas City then The George S. Patton Museum at Fort Knox, over toward Dollywood, the Carolinas and the Atlanta area where I'll see my nephew who is in mortal combat with Cancer. This may consume much of June, depending on whim, fancy and if I'm kidnapped by a nymphomaniac chef.

Then it's off to NASCAR country then across the top of Florida, east to http://www.williesduckdiner.com/ and into South Texas then north to DFW. and maybe into Oklahoma then West.
I'll hit a few sections so I can take a photo of a Route 66 sign on my way to Arizona.
Then Bakersfield, Taft and I-5 to The Bay Area.

Should be a fun trip.

Are you bringing Clyde with you?
I'm about 3 hours south of Kansas City.

I said I'd drive my Tundra to the top of Pikes Peak.
Let me know if the link works. Or doesn't.

The Michael Shatto BIG Trip
Pikes Peak
The park was closed to up traffic and we at the top were preparing to leave. I discovered .... BARS! So I tried calling my sister and texting Dex.
As I was fiddling around the Ranger came up and asked if, by any chance, I had a tow strap. I said I did. A woman in a van was stuck. I whipped out the trailer hitch and installed it, pulled the strap out of the spares box, (Thank you to the big-rig driver who lost it on the highway) and went to look. I discovered the perfect size oval shape hole in the lower control arm of the real wheel, made a bowline and then another to loop over the hitch and then noticed that two-wheel drive Clyde stood no chance of un-sticking her on the icy surface.
Then appeared the H2 Hummer.
The driver turned around, backed into position, we affixed the strap and I went to the window to suggest locking the differentials and ask experience. She said no problem, she was from New York. There was no problem, she gently dragged the van way far out of the icy snow. I understood when she said she loved her H2.
