My LT's page RIP.
The single greatest LT I have ever had. He is the measuring stick that I use to see how LT's will be. This man took extra guard shifts from his soldiers during the first Iraqi elections. At that time we were doing 18 hr patrols then 3 Hours of gaurd duty at an IP station. Total of 21 hour days. He is what every LT should try to be.

That speaks loads for anyone who has served, an Officer especially an LT getting that kind of praise form an EM says a lot. Our Army will surely miss him as our nation will as well.

It takes a man to put on a uniform. It takes a leader to step up and say follow me for I will do what is asked of me. I will lead from the front. I will take responsibity for my actions and those of my subordinates. I will put myself in harms way so you may not.

My LT and people like Matt Axelson were born leaders. They took it upon themselves to go the extra mile to inspire others to do the same.
