Commercial touts unmanned aircraft

The Air Force is rolling out a new commercial this week highlighting unmanned aircraft, the service announced Tuesday.

The commercial features an MQ-9 Reaper unmanned aircraft and airmen from Creech Air Force Base, Nev., working with special operations airmen to identify and destroy an enemy threat.

“The Air Force is in the fight,” Capt. Richard Solorzano, the chief of advertising for the Air Force Recruiting Service, said in a statement. “Our latest creative efforts with the new commercials capture this by emphasizing the professionalism of highly trained airmen using the latest technology.”

The 30-second commercial, produced by ad agency GSD&M Idea City of Austin, Texas, began airing Monday on the Adult Swim, BET, Comedy Central, ESPN, ESPNews, FX, FOX Soccer, G4, MTV, NFL, Speed, Spike TV, TBS, USA and History channels. It is scheduled to air through September, according to the AFRS press release.

Two other new commercials are in post-production will begin airing this fall. They highlight combat search and rescue airmen and Air Force Space Command.
