All of the images came from our own cameras. We were the first unit into the Anbar province after the war. The Marines took over our sector in western Iraq. I think they have had thier hands full ever since. Bon Jovi had the perfect song for this video. Nobody can sing it like them either. The reason I made this video was because I was letting all of the guys dump thier phortos on the beat-up old laptop I had while we were there. I found the Wndows Movie Maker program and started messing around with it. I would mess with it a few hours at a time. A few of my soldiers thought it would be a good idea to make a video so they could look back at all the stuff that went on while we were there. I waited until our tour was over before I made this video. The long trip home took nearly a week after we left the front lines. I worked on this to pass the time. When we got off the plane in Colorado, it was done. Watching it today, 5 years later, still brings back all of the emotions sometimes. I'll never forget the guys in this unit. We went through hell, but we dished out more than we had to take. 3rd ACR kicked ass, and they always will. Leave a comment if you like it?
