13650...i can't found any post about this guys...so, im starting a thread...

with all of my respect im saluting thanks for Your Service and Sacrifice :rip: :USA:
soooo, a film by Sebastian Junger & Tim Hetherington(RIP)if you don't know what is RESTREPO, just do a search here, or click here: http://restrepothemovie.com/

Sebastian Junger:
"My latest film Korengal, takes us back to the same valley with the same troops as in my Academy Award® nominated film Restrepo."

this film is founded on Kickstarter, $117,108 pledged of $75,000 goal

----
STORY
KORENGAL picks up where RESTREPO left off; the same men, the same valley, the same commanders,
but a very different look at the experience of war.
KORENGAL explains how war works, what it feels like and what it does to the young men who fight it.
As one soldier cheers when he kills an enemy fighter,
another looks into the camera and asks if God will ever forgive him for all of the killing he has done.
As one soldier grieves the loss of his friend in combat,
another explains why he misses the war now that his deployment has ended,
and admits he would go back to the front line in a heartbeat.
Every bit as intense and affecting as RESTREPO, KORENGAL goes a step further
in bringing the war into people's living rooms back home."
----

so, this is not an "action movie", but it must watch!
i saw it just right now, this is why im posting now
really hard and true sentences in the movie....like: they are asking the guys: "what is bravery or who is brave"
...can you imagine the answers from the guys of RESTREPO? yes, the answers are badass, hard and it can be

squeezes your heart
if you ever been a soldier/marine or any in service you'll understand it
if not, then you can understand the feelings of us and the feelings of "comrades", or "brothers in arms"
and of course just some "backyard" informations about the Afghanistan war

I can't wait to see this almost sequel of Restrepo since that documentary was so intense, serene, tragic, and inspiring. A little of topic here but I just never understood why when we abandoned bases like Restrepo why didn't we burry thousands of pounds ( tons ) of explosives all over the base so we could then destroy not just the base but more importantly kill as many Taliban rag heads as possible who by the dozens would come to take over the bases to search for left behind equipment and weapons but mainly to make propaganda vids. I would pay to see that lol. Also that's what I'd call ironic since they bury explosives ( ieds ) to kill and maim coalition forces in the compounds and towns they abandon as we advance, so why not give them a taste of their own medicine and do the same. - Lets
