I think they were talking about the explosions being possible cookoffs. I would think the main gun rounds would be louder, but the mic on the phone could be muffling them.

By all accounts thus far - no loss of life or injury, which is a miracle. Hopefully pilot, at worst, has just some light spinal trauma.

Light spinal trauma is right I bet he shrunk at least an inch! Isn't there a cap on number of times you can punch out in your carreer? I hear its fuckin brutal.

@chapawolf i used to make ejector seats for martin baker,if i recall the recomendation is 3 ejections in a career (although some pilots have done more) and on average your spine compres's about an inch but the fluid in your discs will reinflate ,takes about 3 months,and you get a tie for being in the "club".
