looks like 2 rounds were tumbling on impact. This vid shows two things to me: 1- Even if you have $15,000 - $20,000 wrapped up into a bad-ass rifle and optics, you need to be a skilled marksman to hit your target. 2- Even if you are a skilled marksman, there is a bit of luck involved. These are still outstanding shots at a range I wouldn't even attempt. Hats off to the shooter.

That was a ricochet! It hit the ground in front of the target, and evidently got side tracked (possibly a rock), and then glanced off the target leaving the shape of the bullet. That metallic chunk he was holding was what was left of the copper jacket.

Seems like maybe the .338 Lapua? Any how top notch shooting.

I agree with you Chappa. If you look there is no wind down the entire flight path of the bullet. Good shot but if there would have even been a 5 mph of wind, i doubt he would have made the shot. I know humidity and temperature have alot to do with it, but if it was hot out even better would have given the bullet more arc during its change to transonic flight. I think i watch to many sniper documentary's :D

Missed that the first time. Thought it was splash kicking up dust. Nice catch.

Astonishing! what was it - 228 foot drop - hell of a bit of shooting. Even 800 ft lbs remaining is more than useful.
