One of my sons friends was scout sniper in Iraq and they use to sit on the highway that they use to make the runs with I forget which one ran from center of Baghdad to the airport and wait for emplacers, they used the 50 cal Barrett. When they where planting the IED's they would wait for as many of them to get around it, while it was above ground then shoot the IED, the most i think he said was 3 They got at one time.
