Great camouflage wasn't enough for this momma bird.
She built her nest about twenty feet from the concrete in front of the
warehouse loading dock, which was perfect for keeping predators away.

I looked for a long time before discovering why she stayed close.
The problem was; the annual visit by the guy with the mower to cut
back the weeds....
It happened in 2010, and I'm still upset.
