Nice .gif... You're right. When I was in the Corps back in '86, I finished boot camp without a set of dress blues. At that time they didn't issue them with your Alpha and Charlies. So, when I looked into it they was running $400.00 for a set. Now, seeing that I was just a lowly private fresh from the island, that $400 might has well been $4,000. I see that they wear them from boot camp nowadays and that's kool. (I may be wrong) But, even though I never got the change to wear them (I was 0311 and proud of it...errrr) I know that we didn't get paid big bucks to serve our country. We got shelter, food (chicken jumped off a table and killed a friend of mine....I degress) and some beer money every 1st and 15th of the month. People who never been in any of the armed services don't know. A lot of good men and women don't get paid what they really deserve (like police, firemen, teachers, etc....) but we know while it would be nice to have what you're really worth, those proud men and women go into harms way almost everyday and still go back at it till the day's done. Semper Fi to all who served and don't complain about it...

The entitled people would never lower themselves to truly serve others. Great post.
