But that's true for pretty much any country in the world right now. All they do, is implement 1 Gazzilion additional laws. I find it actually funny that this guy, Snouden or something, who started all this stuff about US government spying on every one, asked for political asylum in Russia...
IT's like complain about snow being wet and jump in to the ocean...

The foundation of Liberalism, and the United States, is also the value of individual liberty and freedom above state regulation. Liberalism is generally a socially secular/"progressive" type of mentality. The democrats in the United States, and those in Europe, are not Liberals and they do not value Liberalism, otherwise Snowden would not have to take up assylum in Russia for fear of what his government will do to him. While all he did is exposed, documented proof, that our government no longer obeys the constitution disregards individuals rights and proposes more and more restrictions by the day.

The real meaning of Liberalism is lost, we are a species and we are a species that is driven by money. Our current governments around the world represent that, as we as a species have become more and more secular/progressive every year (dating back to when we first took up farming and became "civilized"), we are driven soley by ownership and greed. That is the problem with governments, and restricting their power AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE is necessary to avert a mindless and petty existance.

To many people and corporations want to live in a nanny state. We have to much welfare .
How many laws are on the books? How many are outdated ? Lobbyist need to be unemployed.
Our tax code is a joke. When some one can pay $5 a week in income taxes and get a "refund" of $8000 something is wrong.
When people can riot in a Louisiana Wal-Mart because their EBT card doesn't work and steal everything they can. Something is wrong with our "people". When it pays better to be on welfare. Something is wrong.
The people and corporations that have been living off the taxpayers blood sweat and tears need to have a boot shoved up their asses. It's well past time for some people to starve to death and some companies to go out of business.
We are well on our way to become a 3rd world country. Tough choices need to be made and budgets cut.
