On 25 June 1950, nearly 100,000 North  Korean  troops storm across the  38th parallel   The United Nations Security Council adopts a resolution calling for the immediate cessation of hostilities and withdrawal of North Korean forces to the 38th parallel. It is clear this is a full-scale invasion. President Truman returns to Washington DC and a meeting of top advisors is held at Blair House to determine initial U.S. steps.
