I'm fairly certain the abbreviation for the acronym is "LOACH". The mix of light observation and attack. At least that's what my dad's buddy has listed under a picture of the one he flew when he was in Vietnam.

Cool video hearing this guy's first hand accounts. ROFL... stuffing ammo cans with C4 and scrap metal. Ingenuity at its finest.

we are talking US military Fin lol everything is abbreviatted to the nearest possible sound when giving a vehicle or aircraft a nickname
