not sure he got shot (would have seen pieces flying) but certainly the muzzle blast/flash would have taken him down. I think i have seen a longer version of this somewhere

Injured - likely. Dead - likely. Shredded - not likely. The dust is not obscuring him at all. He moved back when Moe of the 3 Stooges started firing the big gun!
if you look close it kinda looks like it barely missed him or maybe grazed him but it's almost if as he fell backwards he turned to run away.
