One of the apaches was shot down by the taliban with the AK and the pilot was hit in the shoulder holy shit

Wow, youd think Cobras would be resistant to AK rounds..two got hit at least. One about halfway through, pilot got one in the shoulder the second must have hit the onboard camera or electronics..hope everyone did OK.

Ok... so I commented a little pre-mature. 1-2 was hit... bastard hit the TADS and based on the coms, the pilot was tagged in the shoulder. The only thing I don't like is he reported "going down" rather than "RTB".

If cobra 1 2 went down and if it went down in the wire and he probally got it back far enough from the engagement cobra 12 said he is shot in shoulder and heli is fucked you can hear the attitude low alarm dont know what the rules of flying are in a open area engagement are for the deck, that is why he got shot up like the way it did. I hope they made it down safe That golden bb will fuck you everytime

These insurgents shouldn't be able to get within a mile of our guys. We have the technology to wipe them off the face of the Earth the very second they step out of their mud huts. Any KIA or WIA we suffer can be laid directly at the feet of our politicians & their hazardous ROE's that are more hostile to our troops than they are to the enemy. Hamid Karzai shouldn't be dictating to our military. We should throw his ass out and put in somebody who has a modicum of gratitude & who understands he's president because we made him president. This guy acts like he wasn't hiding for 30 years before we brought him back. Look how Russia dealt with Chechnya. They installed a friendly president, Ramzan Kadyrov, who was more dangerous than any terrorist you could find in the Caucuses. And he deals with terrorism absolutely & swiftly; no ROE's, no judge & jury, just straight to the justice part. Saves a whole lot of time, money, & lives. Germany lost WWII in part because Hitler micro managed the military in a similar manner that our military is being micro managed today.

Gazza, If you listen to The first part of the clip, when they are spotted there was confusion on if the three were Taliban or friendly QRF. By the time they sorted it out Cobra 1-1 was in a no fire position and didn't have the proper line to shoot and needed the QRF to pull back to engage safely. Once they spotted the guy he stepped out and started firing. Then they took cover behind the wall.

I was shocked too that these dirtbags could get to our wire and hilltops overlooking our bases. You'd think those hilltops would be booby trapped, sensored, and marked no go zones to everyone not allied with ISAF. Great flying and killing though as usual from the gunships they always bring their A game. Great clip finally saw longer version of back flip hadji onto barbwire footage, I still give him a 9 out of 10 had to deduct for the landing he didn't land on both feet LOL. :USA:
