It had claimed responsibility for the operation in a communique issued on January 18, and reported that it occurred on December 6, 2012. I know you think someone would notice and it looks like a pretty desilite place to me, maybe they where not buried and laid down just before the convoy was about to pass.
Remotely denonoted packs and maybe not chained together. In the vid its pretty muddy afterwards your guess is as good as mine on why no one noticed.
