The things we as humans adapt to is insane....Anyone not with in that conflict would haul ass after the first shot.

@cilerc Its reactive armor, when a rpg is launched and hits one of those boxes, the box will explode, effectively making the projectile explode prematurely, causing less damage to the actual tank armor.

The cameraguy either hass brass balls or knows that the tank cannot elevated his main gun that high.

@KarlNapf I was thinking the same thing that camera guy either has biggest balls around or smallest brain ever depending on whether he was armed or not, but those tanks have just as little brains as camera guy I see no infintry support so even with all the t-80's fancy reactive armour if one rebel with a 30 or 40 year old piece of technology like rpg 7 could destroy both tanks with only on shot against the top of each of their turrets and then by some crazy chance if anycrewmen didn't cook off with the tanks a single assault rifle or machine gun of any design could shoot any squirters like shooting fish in a barrel.

when I was in First AD, we would have seen the cameraman with the thermal imaging system and he would be done. Interesting these tanks are clearly just looking in optical spectrum. We rarely did. We use nightsights during the day and only go optical as a last resort.

Interesting to note that Assad has brought out the flashier tanks. Perhaps he ran out of T-55`s..

@ stalin believe this or not some of the boxes are non explosive, that way they can be used over again. The boxes serve just as you say, but the non explosive one are made out of harden steel, to make the projectile non only detonate prematurely, but to deflect the projectile also.
