Hope you like munchin on some pellets! Can you buy a .22 over there? If so I would adivse that for smaller game such as rabbits, it saves on the dental bills and I know how you brits are so anything to save on dental bills should be a bonus . Happy hunting and glad you were able to kill something with your weapons, and enjoy the aspect of a hunt/feast celebration.

I can get .22's , Just can't afford one right now :( , The shot isn't that bad, I push the range out to minimise amount of pellets, Had no problems so far.

Man, it has been awhile since I ate me some good Rabbit stew! I have two Beagles here that are trained rabbit/squirrel dogs. One is almost too old to hunt now, she's 11, although I know her heart would be in it! The other is a male in prime shape. I trained both of them using the sock-hide method an SF buddy taught me. Both of my Beagle's, once they got that scent in their nose, were naturals. All I had to do after that was teach them the basic commands I've used for years with my dogs. Stand, low, come, left hunt, right hunt and free. I'd have to give the younger Beagle some refresher training, but he's a smart dog.

I need to get my ass out there and do some hunting myself!
