Okay so I was researching Conceal/Open carry as I find the culture and aspect fascinating. As far as i know you cant open carry in texas (?) but can conceal carry(?)

Okay so my question. If one is conceal carrying under a jacket or whatever, If they then remove that jacket for whatever reason you are now illegally carrying a weapon? Do most all states that allow conceal carry thus allow open to stop this sort of situation (among other reasons)

Does anybody here open carry rather than conceal, If so, Why?

I use both.

If I am going to a city of over 20k people I will typically conceal, or just throw one of my .45's in the counsole of my pickup which I also usually have my .22 single six in there. I feel a little bit better about concealing when I'm out and about from my local area, because I do not know the law enforcement and don't know many of the people that live in the area. So for myself it is just an easy way to still carry but maintain a low profile.

If I am around my local area I pretty much only open carry. I open carry around here because I know the law enforcement, they know im legal and do not cause problems. It's also an interesting conversation piece for most people, and I know a vast majority of people where I live so it doesn't even bother them. I also open carry when I am out hunting, simply for the easy of access to the weapon when I need it. I typically muzzleload for deer so having a .45 with is usually a better option than reloading.

Makes sense, The whole concept is completely foreign to me and I highly doubt the British public will allow something like this to pass. The more i read about it, the more i like it.

Well, At least i can defend my home:
