Are you talking about F-117 NightHawk or the F-15E Strike Eagle ???

He's talking about the F-117.
I believe on another upload some people said that the F-117 is done forever.

But it's not. 'Officially' retired yes.....completely mothballed no. They are in regenerative storage.
They still fly and has been seen flying recently.

The f 117 the part about the f-15 is its airframe that is what the f117 has and the eagle is alot older then the 117 that is why I said not retired Just being upgraded :D

Simple tweaks to 1960's SAM radars makes the F117 obsolete. Why waste the money?

@ schwit, and COIN operations which will be the dominant form of combat for US forces in the forseeable future make the F-117 nonobsolete. Using an aircraft like this instead of wearing down our more advanced and necessary aircraft seems like a good option. The taliban doesn't have SAM's.

There was a whole lot more stuff involved with shooting that F-117 down in Kosovo.
It wasn't just some simple tweaks of Soviet scrap.
