being in comms in mass I listen to the radios alot sometimes shear bordom but i remember this converstion quite well
FO gives range, distance, direction and charge to 155 h group

A friend of mine was with a TOW Company in the Marines back in 1975 to '79. One time they were sent to Fort Benning for some interservice training. During the night, while my friend was sleeping, an errant 155 round landed about 100 yards from their bivouac. Put a big fucking hole in the ground that everyone was standing around in wonder the next morning. Thing is, my friend slept through it!
I don't doubt that. He was always a hard sleeper. :D

Camera was either a mounted observation/ laser range finder, or on a tethered blimp. My best guesses.
