Who in the hell did the UAV belong to? And what was the purpose of the UAV's mission? Maybe this was just an exercise (target practice)...I'm thinking this was more a target drone than a more advanced UAV. Anymore info on this?

Most likely Lebanese Hezbollah militants.
In July 2006, the Israeli military shot down an unarmed drone operated by Lebanon's Shiite Hezbollah movement over the Jewish state's territorial waters.
And on April 12, 2005, another pilotless Hezbollah aircraft succeeded in overflying part of northern Israel without being downed.

Okay thanks Alpha and atrox...I read up on the incident after my initial post and it definitely looks like the handy work of the Shiites (Iran and Hezbollah) Perhaps this was a test run of a possible delivery device for a nuke? I don't see why Hezbollah would need to have an aerial drone for surveillance purposes, they must know that Israeli air defenses would be all over a loitering drone taking video and pictures, and probably never make it back to upload the captured data.

I had seen a video on how these terrorists could make a home made drone out of RC parts and modify its remote to transmite 5 miles I hope i can see this again The takes you step by step on how to make it If i do I will post it happy hunting to anyone that can find the vid

Iran is chuntering on today about how the drone showed the IDF was crap.
