I would like to head down into the Russian archives and check out all of the footage they have from WW2. I am willing to bet that there would be some intense combat footage in there, I really wish they would release a lot more from the era.

The only thing that kept the Russians from claiming most of Europe was when Truman informed Stalin, on July 24, 1945, that, "we have a new weapon of unusual destructive force." The Russians were desperately trying to make their own Atomic weapon, but were way behind the American's and Brits. I am convinced that this fact was the ONLY thing that kept Stalin from engulfing a large part of Europe and Africa.
