Probably there are plenty of Christian fighters on the rebel side unlike other uprisings in the region they got caught up in it and decided they didn't want to be massacred by there own government. There is a good report about Christian fighters with the rebels on BBC or something look it up.

@atrox6661, I agree. But the chances are much higher that if there were Christians there, they wouldn't be fighting for an islamic country. Most nations out there hate infidels except Kazakhstan which I personally love. If you ask me, if we weren't constantly attacked by radical muslim groups I'd want to get these guys out of such a hell hole. But both ends are tied with bad propaganda, its none of our business.

And myself coming from a Christian family, I still wish the best for these countries to neutralize the hate in themselves. Maybe by then, they would move on with the rest of the world.

I'd like to also say that when a person faithfully says Allah hakhbar they are also referring to the same god that even their enemies refer to. It's all a bunch of hs, given the good Muslims and bad Muslims are tied together by the same god. It's never going to be right, the middle east is hell on earth.

Your prob right they wouldn't be but then again the rebels are not fighting for Islamic rule they want freedom according to them selves, country's can't survive on there own the rebels won't want to side with Iran, Russia and the people trying to take them out now so the most logical conclusion will be they will side with us since we are non-officially helping them. People may not like it but it is in our best interests to help them out in the long run. The world will be better off when there are less Russian puppet dictators running the middle east.

We should all look at the facts and see who is helping who, Cold war isn't over.

Assad - Russia, Iran, Hezzbollah, North Korea, Arab Socialist Ba'ath Party of Syria

Rebels - Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Turkey, USA, France, UK, Germany, Kurds.

Lol. I'm not an islamaphobe, but do you seriously think Syria will become a westernized democracy if rebels win? the rebels that have engaged in suicide bombings, terrorist attacks on civilian infastructure, massacres of ethnic minorities?

Sure Assad is terrible. I would bet money if he is ousted, the new government will be far less secular. After these uprisings militant factions control different parts of the country, chaos will rule for a long time.
Just look at the result of the Libyan uprising. Genocide of blacks occurred, murdering of integrated journalists, militant groups are fighting moderate citizens, it's awful.

We can hope though, I suppose.

sw1442 is correct, the plan has always been the balkanization of the middle east, divide and conquer, split into ethnic enclaves and you wont ever have a powerful Mideastern nation. Syria is actually that, a nation of many ethnic and religious backgrounds cohabiting peacefully until a virus was injected into it. It aint hard to start an insurrection with a shitload of money and weapons
