How many fucking tanks did Syria have? I can assume another 1 or 2 or blown up for every video posted on the web, it's gotta be upwards of a few thousand by now. Did they get all of Russias old useless crap for next to nothing?

Thus the reason why troops on the ground are needed big time. They could have sweep the area before the tank got there. Another reason why you don't see too many American tanks getting nailed like this... we use to bail out of an LAV and make sure coast is clear....anyway, sucks to be them.

The only way I would believe this wasn't staged is if you told me fucking ray Charles was the commander and everyone else was back at base. No fucking tank drives on by a blown out building with assholes standing all around with guns rockets sick ass music blasting. And who the fuck was the guy shooting? The sight of a tank doesn't bother him or anybody else, hey just another tank no big fuckin deal watch this!

I cant see how a RPG can take a tank out. As it says on the label its a grenade powered by a little rocket. A RPG could take out a piece of shit BNP as some have just 30mm of steel and thats it. Not like Warriors and Bradleys what have great armor to stop things like that and more powerful. I would never go into battle with any Russian tank. Even the T90 because it Armour is useless, the gun is shite and it has no proper hunt and kill technology in it. just a cross hair. Well it might as well be a cross and hair cause the tech is shite. Look at both gulf wars where Challengers and Abrahams were killing the T80 before they where in range of their gun. Even if they could hit one the armor would take it as it aint steel but a mix of metals and ceramics

@King Duncan To understand an RPG warhead you need to understand how shaped charges and explosively formed projectiles actually work. It's not the force of the explosion that does the damage. As you say it's a comparitively small grenade - although I wouldn't call the rocket motor 'little'! What kills the tank is the fact that about 200g of copper gets squirted through the hull so fast that the inside temperature rises to - quite literally - 1,000's of Celcius in a fraction of a second. That will terminate any carbon-based life inside the hull and either detonate or cause to burn any nitrate propellant or explosive that's lying around. The physics of a standard anti-tank RPG warhead are so finely balanced that virtually 100% proofing can be had by dropping a pre-detonation screen over the sides of the vehicle you want to protect. It causes the EFP to 'pre-form' so that when it slams into the tank, it's little more than a wet, molten copper splash. (But it does kick your eardrums in!!!). Hope this helps a bit....

@DREDD What's even more compelling is that the vehicle burning at the end is NOT the one that appeared at the beginning! I think someone's cheating!!!
