I'm watching this video (which is very cool by the way) and noticing these guys are out in the middle of Bum Fuck being shot at on a daily basis. Can someone who’s been to A’stan please brief this middle-aged Desert Storm vet on what course of events need to transpire before we can stand up from behind the 3yr old shot up sandbags and say we won?

I’m all for killing the fuckers over there plus I get to watch these kick-ass videos on AC every night. I’m just wondering what this strategy is supposed to accomplish and how long it’s gonna take for the strategy to reach and end point aka Victory! It’s been 11 fucking years already! It may be time to change things up a bit.

Does the first part of this video remind anyone else of the bridge scene in Apocalypse Now when Martin Sheen (CPT Willard) and Sam Bottoms (Lance) fall into the foxhole and Sheen asks the Brother blindly firing his 50cal into the night, “Who’s the commanding officer here?” and Homey replies, “Ain’t you?”….Just curious.
