http://www.apacheclips.com/boards/vbtube/upload/thumb/551_21611.jpg (http://www.apacheclips.com/boards/vbtube_show.php?tubeid=455) judging from syrian army tactics of late, these guys probably got cordoned off and tried to make an escape through some back house but learned the hard way that water tanks and antenna dishes dont make good protective barriershttp://www.apacheclips.com/boards/vbtube/images/play_thread.png (http://www.apacheclips.com/boards/vbtube_show.php?tubeid=455)

You would think after the first 30 seconds they would have figured its a good idea to stop trying to get on the roof.

Hey guys, just wanted your input so let me know if you want more videos, basically im unemployed and have been following the events in syria closely (hourly not daily). i have a skill at finding info and videos you wont find on regular sites. In a short summary (but a shitload more in depth) i use the internet, google, google translate, wikimaps and youtube to scour archives and find videos and info. with these tools i have been able to do forensic work and locate the aprxmte. location of the events on the ground. I have found that i have a pretty good over all situational awareness of the battlefield and ive been able to predict events and movements . anyways im not blowing my own horn but just giving yall ideas and im also willing to give any insight on questions yall may have on this area of conflict. If ya like this one let me know and i can post daily. Now if i can only translate these kills to a money making endeavor im set. later

a funny but disconcerting sidenote if you are rooting for the fsa, bc they are sloppy about what they put on the internet and how they film. I personally have been able to locate the exact locations of building where they have filmed troop movements, travel routes in cities, and other like events. Ya gotta think the mukhabarat are on to this if lowly ole me can find these guys out. Judging from what ive seen, i dont think this is going to go the way of the fsa, but they and their extremist friends are sure gonna let hell loose for awhile with sunni/west backing.

That last guy to clamber up on there didn't take long to realize there was no strategic or defensive gain from being on that roof. 1 minute 15 seconds was long enough for him to complete his assessment of the situation. Not saying he lived much longer than the other guys, but he definitely chose the right time to bug out of that spot.

Bad choice, they shoulda jumped down like the other guy.
Almost like a cartoon, or mythbusters. "Lets see if water can stop bullets, and if you can use a fiberglass satallite dish as a bullet shield. Today on Donkey Busters!"

I just don't understand why they didn't do what the other guy did. IE Lay down a load of fire and jump -- a broken leg is better than what happened to them!

Fear is paralyzing.

Just a little update to the video, i believe this happened a couple days ago near the kafr susa district in Damascus. This is surprisingly close to the government district and presidential palace. the guys doing the damage could be republican guard seeing as they are the only army unit allowed to enter the city(much like the praetorian guard of rome), but war is war and im sure all formalities are off the table. anyways im out and will post something soon

Very compelling video. What it is to be under fire....sink into the concrete to disappear. They were paralysed with fear. Good job jrbtx!!!

I guess the FSA take their military training from the local Imam or something because they sure don't know anything about FIBUA.

damn that was some live action... FYI for the fsa hiding behind ac units arnt the the idea for cover, concealment maybe but i would not be on an open roof top... and yes totally exposed alll around. Need better tactics guys

Hiding behind a water tank : clever
Hiding behind a water tank on a roof surrounded by much taller buildings: Not clever
The tank drained cause of all the shots it took once it was emtyed out its like hiding behind a soda can
