Guys, a question. Is there a difference between Russian made AK and American made AK?

yeah i would think russian made is better. more durable can beat it to hell seems like it would last longer. purely an opinion i dont know enough to give you an actual answer. but when i buy im going to buy an arsenal sgl21 (basically an ak103) they seem to stress original russian specs and everything is new not a used parts kit.

It actually doesn't matter what ak a person gets. Imports have to have compliant parts installed (believe somwhere around 22 parts) so usually everything in the trigger group, the barrel, muzzle device, and a host of other parts are replaced with us made parts.
unless you can find one imported before the ban, which were all foreign parts, your stuck buying a compliant rifle.
And don't think thats cool, i can replace those parts with original stuff. yes you can, but don't get caught with a now non compliant gun, it's a federal offense.
