What is this?

Can some one tell me what kind of list is on the side of this fellas rifle?
I have seen it on several pictures and can not get a good enough pic to see it.It looks as though the guy to the left side of the pic has it on his rifle also.

9 line medevac or UXO report maybe? I put my 9line medevac on the butt of my saw overseas, the weapon goes where I go and it is good to have a reference and a quick cheat sheet to reference to while the bullets are flying and the adreneline is pumping so you can get the right words and brevity codes out exactly as you need to.

Thanks guys :thumbsup: My original pic is better res. but for some reason it didn't come up as big as my original one.
Have seen it several time before,and it got my curiosity up as to what it could be.
