A truck apparently rear ended the last vehicle and pushed it into two others.
Know the report says one dead. has anyone else heard of this and have more info?

Thanks Jamie
I dug into the stars ans stripes and found this also http://www.stripes.com/news/europe/germany/soldier-killed-in-germany-autobahn-crash-is-identified-1.175599

Back in the 80's three of us took a van (military vw) from neckarsulm to ktown, and on the way back between ktown and manheim we had a big ass bmw sedan rear end us at about 110 - 120 mph (politzei estimated 200kph), and we were doing 55. we pinballed between guardrails 3-4 times and ended up going down the autobahn backwards in gear (the tranny said its final farewell then), then the rear end hit the guardrail and stopped us sideways. The ol vw engine still purred away.
all three of us ended up in the clinic in mannheim then a long wait for a ride back to neckarsulm (heilbronn community, I was with pershing back then).
It was bad enough for the three of us, I just cant imagine how much more of a violent crash it was for these guys.

Do you have any persisting back and neck problems?
We were road marching our tanks from Vilseck to Hoenfels (3RD ID). One of our tanks was hit head on by a drunk German . He was to busy yelling out his window at us to steer the car around the next corner.
The tank driver was driving with the hatch open and goggles on or he would have had glass in his eyes. The German broke both his legs. He was actually "lucky" the next tank was the mine plow tank. That would have stung a little.

want me to translate?

Says the truck driver was completely oblivious to the last vehicle in the convoy and rammed them without even using the breaks once.

Yikes, a loaded truck full on into the rear end of a hummer. Thats not good at all and judging by the clip he damn near drove through them.
from what I can find, the second guy is still critical and in a coma.
At least the guy that hit us you could tell tried to avoid at the last second, but caught the drivers side rear. He also caused 2 vehicles behind him to ride the guardrail. actually ended up being 4 cars involved.
