and here is the unemployment by demographic:

I found this Gallup tool interesting to investigate who actually likes Obama in office. Here are some of my conclusions:

1) The most support in terms of age comes from the 18-29 year olds (51% approval). Odd because this is my generation (http://www.foxnews.com/opinion/2011/08/19/why-worry-about-my-generation/?test=faces) and we are have the highest unemployment of any age range (9.7%).

2) The most support in terms of race comes from the black community (81% approval). Odd because this is the highest unemployment of any race (15.9%). The least support comes from the white race (33% approval, 8.1% unemployment). And don't try to think this is a race argument by me... don't forget that Obama is 1/2 african and 1/2 white.

3) In another Gallup poll the demonized hard-drinking unemployed angry white tea party'ers (http://newsbusters.org/blogs/noel-sheppard/2011/08/10/rick-santelli-strikes-back-cnbc-guest-calling-tea-partiers-freaked-ou), were actually just more employed, angry, and white (http://www.gallup.com/poll/127181/tea-partiers-fairly-mainstream-demographics.aspx).

4) Food stamps are at an all time high (http://abcnews.go.com/Business/surge-demand-food-stamps-united-states/story?id=14231657) (while they serve a good purpose, other threads in this forum have shown how they can be abused (http://www.apacheclips.com/boards/showthread.php?13496-Ugh-this-pissed-me-off-a-bit.&highlight=food+lion)). This is also not a race issue. (http://blog.chron.com/texassparkle/2011/08/pres-obama-promotes-dependency-with-food-stamps/) Newt was accused of being racist by the left when he claimed Obama was the food stamp president, but more whites are on food stamps than ever before (see food lion trolls).

It seems people who oppose Obama are more likely to have a job than the people who support Obama. But yet, a large reason to oppose Obama is because too many people are unemployed. Could it be that Obama-haters just want to work more, and Obama-lovers just want to eat more? For a recession that was supposed to have ended in 2009, he really hasn't put many people back to work.

Rick Perry (I am not endorsing this man even though I'm from Texas (http://revrob.com/politics-topmenu-48/171-more-voters-oppose-obama-than-support-republican-candidates)) argues that 38% of the jobs created since the end of the recession have been in Texas (http://politicons.net/38-of-all-jobs-created-in-america-were-in-texas-rick-perry-ace-in-the-hole/), but Obama contends that this is due to favorable energy prices (http://www.breitbart.com/article.php?id=CNG.7e6f5d975b7d7c5e5e0bad3f509e9d0 1.191). Considering Texas is not the only state in the US that has oil (http://ncwatch.typepad.com/media/2011/08/obama-hack-attacks-perrys-record-fact-check-in-the-thinker.html), I really don't consider this counter-argument valid. Energy prices should be helping (http://jobs.aol.com/articles/2011/07/26/higher-energy-prices-fuel-employment-rise-in-the-industry/) domestic production in the northeast and the gulf, yet Obama will not consider drilling in these places (http://www.thepelicanpost.org/2011/07/20/ten-oil-rigs-have-exited-gulf-since-obama-moratorium-went-into-effect/) (the trade-off being we need to protect the environment - the downside, we lose wealth to foreign countries). At least our country will be the prettiest when we hit rock bottom.

Now I'm not trying to be negative towards anyone especially if that person is unemployed. Finding work is not easy at this point in time.

I found this interesting. Check #48. (http://www.snopes.com/politics/obama/50lies.asp) Is 'Che-worshiping' what we need in this administration? Don't they do that enough in Venezuela and Cuba?

Here is another thing to consider American vets have the highest unemployment percentage overall.

Very true. Joblessness among 18- to 24-year-old vets was pegged at more than 30% last month, compared to 18% for civilians of the same age. (http://www.newser.com/story/121307/unemployment-worsens-for-us-veterans.html)

Those "81 percent" will sure make it to the polls in 2012. Keep that in mind. My white, veteran and currently employed self will also make it there to oppose any future possibility of continued failure by him. Hopefully it wont be another "trendy" election again. Maybe this time the votes will be made with common sense.
