Yeah i'm serious. If we let countries be communist, and let nations form dictatorships. If we let chaos reign in countires around the world, would we not be better off? Why even bother ourselves with the affairs of others? Why even promote democracy around the world? If we did not promote democracy would we not just let the shit holes be the shit holes?

If we did not promote democracy, would we have Japanese competitors? Would the pool of competitors be substantially less without the spread of democracy and capitalism worldwide? Why do we bother to spread our capitalism and democracy to other nations when it simply creates competitors for us? Why didwe open our doors to a communist nation like China who has no guilt or standards?

As a whole for humanity, this competitition raises the standard of living and helps bring freedom across the world but for what? The loss of American competitiveness?

The overrall question is, why help the world? Does American prowress suffer in the end? It's almost like we're teach others to be as capable as us, certain countries choosing to take the capitalism without democracy.

How arrogant can we be, democracy is centuries old. This nation is extremely young, we're not teaching anybody anything at all. We're just becoming trouble makers.

My, what a departure we've become from JFK; to "Let every nation know, whether it wishes us well or ill, that we shall pay any price, bear any burden, meet any hardship, support any friend, oppose any foe, in order to assure the survival and the success of liberty."

To export individual liberty and freedom has to be the most noble undertaking of the human condition. Yet there are those among us who, like spoiled children, say, "I've got mine--the hell with you."

We need to restore ourselves as the beacon of freedom around the world, not cave in to the whims and fancies so as to meet the approval of second- and third-world despots.

And just because we would choose to isolate ourselves in a cocoon, doesn't mean that the thugs and dictators of the world will respond in kind.

We have been rightly labeled "the last best chance of hope for freedom on earth."

Are we going to lightly throw away that mantle and instead choose the false and empty promises of "peace" that expediency and complacency has not nor can ever deliver?

We owe it to ourselves and to our progeny to continue the struggle to export liberty, and to continue to be an unapologetic and evangelic emissary for freedom, and a continuing example of that "shining city on the hill."

If we throw our hands up, it's "game over" for the entire world.

Tavarez - We should not be promoting democracy throughout the world. We were founded as a Republic. We have lost our way...we need to get back to our foundation as a Republic living by our Constitution.

temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety."

There are tons more quotes from our founders about a Republic and Democracy. Just google it.

Trouble Makers??? Why don't you leave America ??? International law or Law period... Law's are not for those who abide by them( Republican's )..they are put in place for the good of everybody.... not just a priviledged few(Liberal's/Democrat's) or any other person abusing power over people Foreign or domestic.
Just think you half whitted individual !!!! If it were not for a law protecting your freedom of speech for your cavalier remarks ..somebody might just pop in your place and dust you off, just like the dust on your T.V.screen wipe up the mess and you could dissappear without a trace, or how about torture you for a couple of hours before doing so.... your the type who only wants the Law, when it safeguards your childsh, selfish screams, and when you've broken the law ,you want a liberal/crooked lawyer to twist the law, to pet your decision for breaking it, because, your momma wouldn't spank your butt when you needed it,allowing you to grow up with a mentallity of, "you can have it your way thinking", no matter who you hurt, including your mother....
Really!!! if you don't like America they are giving visa's everyday, you can go where ever you like. One more thought for you....you're seeing what war does!!! Why not... instead of stopping it on a distant land/country... let's pull our troops out of every campaign back to America , the Taliban can build an even larger foothold and then they can come over here and we can fight them on our land ????????? That way you will get your seat front row and can have all your comments answered first hand, without all of these theatrical points of view.........
Freedom is not given...it is expelled, by brute force against aggression by those wanting for others, to live in peace !!!! America fight's for the humanitarian efforts of it's allies and the overall good of every child, man and woman... Certainly America is not perfect... but there are more people leaving other countries and coming to America to live, than any other place in the world...

Here is a good reason why we go into other countries, It's for reasons F-450 spoke of...freeing peoples.

YouTube - Inhofe Speaks at DC Rescue of Joseph Kony's Child Soldiers Event

(description for video)
Saturday, April 25, 2009: Senator Jim Inhofe, with singer Pete Wentz and actor Val Kilmer, participated in the Invisible Children's worldwide Rescue event, called The Rescue of Joseph Kony's Child Soldiers, to bring attention to what is happening with Joseph Kony's Lord's Resistance Army (LRA) and rescue the child soldiers. The Washington, D.C. event was a part of a larger worldwide event taking place in over 60 US cities and 40 international cities. For almost 20 years, Joseph Kony has beleaguered the Great Lakes region of Africa, capturing 20,000 children, killing thousands, and forcing one million displaced.

The participants asked leaders in the U.S. to apprehend Joseph Kony and rescue the abducted children being held in captivity by the LRA. Participants will replicate being abducted and will remain outside until they are rescued by Members of Congress and other prominent Americans
